Fraunhofer FOKUS has published an article in the German Testing Magazine, presenting an innovative methodology for automating security testing throughout the software development lifecycle. The approach, developed and validated within DOSS, aims to make security testing more efficient, reliable, and accessible to software developers and manufacturers of connected devices.
The article, entitled “Security-Tests automatisieren: von der Code-Analyse bis zur Patch-Validierung” (Automating Security Tests: From Code Analysis to Patch Validation), addresses the growing need for systematic cybersecurity testing as digital devices become increasingly interconnected and exposed to cyber threats.
The publication also highlights the increasing importance of cybersecurity testing in the context of the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements.
