Eseye 2025 State of IoT Report

The Eseye 2025 State of IoT Report reveals that while during the 2024 survey, device security was the number 1 pain point and challenge for survey respondents, surprisingly, in 2025, it only ranks as the second biggest challenge! This was the result of the survey, despite the fact that 75% of businesses have suffered an IoT-related breach during the past 12 months — a 25% jump from the previous survey.

Across industries, security failures are being traced back to weak connectivity and device-level vulnerabilities. Manufacturing (85%) and EV charging (82%) are feeling the pain most acutely as the infrastructure grows and attack surfaces expand.

Eseye’s recommendations include – among others – end-to-end security, which is exactly what the DOSS project’s aim is: to improve the security and reliability of the supply chain of IoT architectures.
