Dear Colleagues,
As Chair of the Academia Europaea Informatics Section, we had organized a workshop in 2024 in London, and in 2025 in Paris, that addressed the Advances and Challenges of AI, with speakers from within and outside Academia Europaea. The announcements and programs of these two previous workshops are listed in the links given below.
In 2026, the Academia Europaea Informatics Section, with the help of the Academia Europaea Wroclaw Hub, will organize the next “Workshop on Advances and Challenges of AI”, November 16-17, 2026 in the historic centre of Wroclaw. Participation will be limited to 50 participants, with roughly 20 main speakers, plus poster presentations. There are no registration fees. Coffee breaks and lunches are kindly offered by the Academia Europaea Wroclaw Hub. Preferential rates for rooms at local hotels and student rooms at the University Residence will also be arranged. For the organization of this workshop, we are also collaborating with the International Core Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and we already have several confirmed distinguished speakers from Europe and the USA.
We are therefore very interested in the views of researchers and corporations.
Therefore, I would be very happy to hear about suggestions for talks at this event from our colleagues, about opportunities and challenges in AI. Colleagues interested in attending, giving a talk, or presenting a poster should contact me (Erol Gelenbe) at se*@***is.pl before June 30, 2026.
Based on the events of 2024, 2025 and 2026, a Special Issue of the AAIS Flagship Journal will also be launched, and could appear in 2027, to include refereed papers submitted by the speakers of all three events.
Best regards,
Erol Gelenbe MAE FCore FAAIS FIEEE FACM FIFIP
